As it was such a glorious day it was shameful not to get the bike out and take it for a ride. The weather was just perfect, no heavy gear was required, so I opted for the jeans and jean jacket and that was perfect, kept the wind out but let the air through.
I headed out from Leicester towards Narborough, through Sharnford and picked up the A5 southbound, past Magna Park, through Kilsby and past Watford Gap, after which the attraction of the straight A5 wore a little thin and it was time to get off the beaten track.
I turned off towards Whilton and through Nobottle, skirting the edges of Northampton and through the beautiful villages of Harlestone and the picturesque Bramptons before heading back towards Leicester via Welford, Husbands Bosworth, Theddingworth, Mowsley, Saddington, Fleckney, Kilby, Foston, Countesthorpe and Blaby.
All in all a beautiful couple of hours on the bike.
