Training Courses & Hotels

Well here I am again, lying on my bed in a hotel room in London and not able to sleep…

I did have an eventful trip down on the train from Rugby though, leaving on-time at 21:05 and arriving only 15 minutes late into London Euston after making slow progress between Milton Keynes and Watford Junction…

…then the wonderous delights of dragging my case and laptops through the London Underground, which although somewhat arduous did give me time to reflect on the improvements that are slowly being made to the stations of the London Underground, which one has to admit is a mammoth undertaking that does appear to be progressing albeit slowly and surely…

…well after admiring the sights of London Docklands and the rather spectacular night skyline and a certain amount of people watching whilst travelling on the London DLR, I eventually arrived at what I thought was the correct stop and exited the train at West Silvertown… ooohhhh boy, what an eerie station that is at 23:15 hours, it was totally deserted and seems to be located in the middle of nowhere, although the station itself was well lit, it was totally empty and felt quite spooky, but I was big and brave so I gingerly exited the station to find the area even more deserted…hmmm!! perhaps this is not the correct stop I think to myself and after walking 500yds along a deserted flyover, and NOT being able to get any coherent sense out of my iPhone whatsoever, eventually I decided to admit defeat and surprisingly I managed to hail a lone taxi and only after requesting him to take me to my hotel, did I discover 1: I was walking in the wrong direction and 2: I exited the DLR two stops before I needed to…

…woe is me, but I sure was glad to be safely in my hotel room, and now I am ready to try and get some sleep before my intensive VMWare VSphere 4 course begins bright and early at 8:30am later today…

Goodnight all ZZZZZzzzzzzz!!!!
